Bing SEO Reports

Bing SEO Reports is similar to the HTML Improvements feature in Google webmasters tool. In addition to HTML suggestions, Bing creates the report based on 15 SEO Best practices. The reports are run every two weeks. The main difference between SEO Analyzer and SEO Reports is that, the later generates reports based on the domains listed in the account. Some of the SEO suggestions are:

1. The <img> tag does not have an ALT attribute defined

2. The page contains multiple titles

Bing SEO Analyzer

Microsoft has been trying hard to attract more webmasters to Bing with some nifty tools in the Bing Webmaster’s Tool collection. The latest and the most effective SEO tool is the Bing SEO Analyzer. 

As the name suggests, by entering a URL, the SEO Analyzer checks any verified domain pages for SEO errors.

If you are wondering whether it is important to submit your website to Bing Search Engine, here are some statistics:

1) According to the latest comscore report, Bing overtook Yahoo as the second largest search engine in Jan 2012 with 15.1% market share

2) According to Compete’s  Jan 2012 report, Bing’s growth in US markets has been steady with the growth rate reaching 16.3%

Bing has introduced a new feature in its Webmasters tool – Mark-up Validator. If you are worried whether your website follows the standard coding and mark-up conventions, visit the crawl section in Bing’s webmasters tool.

Microsoft Advertising Intelligence tool - Basics

If you are a Microsoft Ad Center user then you might be aware of the Microsoft Advertising Intelligence tool. It is a Plugin for MS Excel, which allows you to do keyword research and find Key Performance Data like the volume, demographic and geographic data. With the tool, you can also forecast monthly keyword volume and get Ad specific information like the clicks, impressions, position, CTR(click through rates) and Cost per click.
